invoiceMpower

International accounting software for SME owners — scan or send, your books get done

SME owners collect receipts, invoices and statements in several currencies, then discover at month-end what was paid without a document and what has a document without a payment. invoiceMpower classifies every document as an expense or an income, converts it at the transaction-date rate, matches it with bank and card statements and flags what is missing — with a free space where the accountant validates doubtful cases.

  • 58 countries — 5 of them full, with tax rules and filings included
  • 30 days free trial on every plan, from $29 CAD a month
  • 4 stages in the hybrid privacy engine: OCR, masking, AI when needed, verification

The problem

For the owner of a small business, bookkeeping is a month-end chase. A photo of a receipt here, a supplier invoice in an inbox there, a card statement that shows a payment with no document behind it and an invoice that was never paid. Amounts in foreign currencies get converted at today’s rate instead of the rate on the transaction date, and taxes differ from one country to the next. The accountant receives a pile instead of a file, with no way to see, for each figure, where it came from and who approved it.

The solution

A web platform where the owner scans a document with the phone or forwards it to the company’s email address, and the rest is done. Each document is classified as an expense or an income. Foreign amounts are converted at the rate of the transaction date, shown with that date on every line. Bank and card statements are compared line by line with the documents, and the gaps come out as two lists. Reports are exported once validated, and every amount traces back to its source file, to the rule applied and to the accountant’s approval. The accountant works free of charge in a space of their own, with one exception queue across all their clients.

What the platform does

  • Scan or send A photo from the phone, or the document forwarded to the company’s email address — nothing more is needed.
  • Classification Each document becomes an expense or an income, with vendor, date, taxes and category.
  • Currencies at the transaction-date rate Foreign amounts are converted at the rate of the transaction date, not today’s; the rate and its date are displayed on every line so anyone can check.
  • Statement matching and missing items Bank and card statements — CSV, Excel, OFX/QFX or PDF, from any bank or card — are compared line by line with the documents. What was paid without a document and what has a document without a payment are listed separately.
  • Reports and taxes that trace back Every amount in a report leads back to the original file, to the rule applied — category, tax rate, conversion — and to the accountant’s validation, which stays attached to the line.
  • Two levels of countries 58 countries in all. Five of them are full countries — Canada, United States, France, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates — with tax rules and filings included; the others are supported countries, with currencies, classification, reports and statement matching, taxes to be validated by the client’s accountant.
  • Hybrid privacy engine Smart OCR on the product’s own servers, masking of names and numbers, an external AI only when needed and only on the masked text, then verification by the system; the external AI never receives the original file. Protection adapted to each region: GDPR, Law 25, PIPEDA.
  • Accountant’s space and exports A multi-client portal to switch between clients without changing accounts, one exception queue where only doubtful cases arrive, and CSV, Excel and PDF exports ready for the accountant’s tools and filings. Free access for the accountant.
  • Plans Essential ($29 CAD a month, 1 company, 100 documents a month), Growth ($59, 3 companies, 500 documents), Multi ($99, 10 companies, 2,000 documents) and a Firm plan priced per client on request; each company has its own country, currency and taxes.

Architecture

Web application with sign-in and account creation with approval required. Document processing runs in four stages — OCR on the product’s own servers, masking, external AI only when needed, verification — before the accountant validates doubtful cases. Statements are imported in CSV, Excel, OFX/QFX and PDF; reports are exported in CSV, Excel and PDF. French and English interface.

Who uses it

Owners of small and medium-sized businesses who run one or several companies, and their accountants, who get free access — individually or as a firm with per-client pricing.

Markets

58 countries, from Algeria to Uruguay, five of them full — Canada, United States, France, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates — with tax rules and filings included; the others with currencies, classification, reports and statement matching; prices in Canadian dollars.

Where AI fits — and where it does not

AI is one stage among four, and never sees the original file. A smart OCR reads each document on the product’s own servers; names and numbers are then replaced by codes such as [PERSON_1]. An external AI steps in only when needed and only receives that masked text; the system then restores the data and checks the math. Doubtful cases are not decided by the model: they go to the accountant’s exception queue, and the approval stays attached to the line. Currency conversion uses the rate of the transaction date, displayed with its date so anyone can verify it.
